Memorisation Monday

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:10
What is love? Sorry if I’ve just put a song in your head for the rest of the day. But genuinely, what is love? I reckon there’s a bunch of confusion today.
Is love just this feeling you have when you think about, see, touch a certain person? Is love how much you need someone else? Is love a duty or a commitment?
Love is a mixture of a bunch of things. But John points us to a moment that is certainly love.
God sent his Son as sacrifice for people who didn’t love him. Whatever else love is. That’s love.

- Say it once more when you wake up.
Pray:
- Praise the Father for sending his Son.
- GIve thanks for Jesus who loved us sacrificially.
- Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others love him and love each other sacrificially.
