The Holy Ghost
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell
The third day he rose again from the dead
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead

Do you believe in ghosts? What about the Holy Ghost?
The Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit is the quiet achiever of the Trinity. Co-equal with the Father and the Son. His goal is to bring glory to the Son and the Father by working in the hearts of men and women toward the will of God.
In the Old Covenant, it was the Holy Spirit who anointed the Prophets, Priests & Kings to speak, lead and sacrifice. It was the Holy Spirit who descended on Christ to strengthen Him to live a holy life and die on the cross for sins. It is the Holy Spirit who comes into the hearts of those who God has called, turning them from spiritually dead to spiritually alive and it is the Spirit who indwells believers, strengthening them and holding them firm in the trust of Jesus.
Jesus said it was better that He went, so that He could send His Spirit. How could it be better that Jesus leaves? Jesus is fully human and fully God. But because He is fully human, He can only be in one place and one time. He is physical. He cannot inhabit the hearts of men and women.
Though He does not bring attention to Himself. Today, let’s be thankful for the Holy Spirit. As Paul says, no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3).
If you trust in Christ, it is because of His Spirit. If you bear any good fruit, it is because of the Holy Spirit. If you stand firm to the end, it is because of the Holy Ghost.
For Today:
Pray: Praise the Father that He directs the Spirit according to His good will. Give thanks for Jesus Christ who sends the Spirit to apply His work to His people. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others keep trusting in Jesus and producing good fruit to His glory.
