Memorisation Monday
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
Prayer is at the heart of the Christian life. It recognises we (individually) need God to help us live lives of godliness and holiness. But also that we (The Church) need God’s help to be a community of godliness and holiness and that we (the world) need God to restrain evil and promote good so that godliness and holiness can thrive.
Therefore we pray. Let today's passage be a reminder to you to pray.
Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
Pray: Praise the Father that He is Almighty God who hears our prayers and answers them according to His perfect will. Give thanks for Jesus who is the ultimate answer to our prayers. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to be at work in all people, especially those in authority - that we might live quiet and peaceful lives.
