Memorisation Monday
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him
Philippians 1:29
We saw this last Sunday in Acts 5 that the Apostles rejoiced because they had been considered worthy of suffering disgrace for the sake of His Name.
Jesus is the greatest cause on earth. It is the cause of the true King, of the good Kingdom and the one with the greatest reward.
None of us like the idea of suffering. But when we see suffering in the light of Christ, it is a privilege to be associated with His name and His cause.
Let’s memorise today to remind ourselves of this.
Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
Pray: Praise the Father that He is at work in and through our suffering. Give thanks for Jesus Christ who suffered on our behalf for our salvation. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others stand firm and even rejoice in suffering for Christ.
