Memorisation Monday
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:21
What an incredible statement. A confronting pronouncement. A beautiful declaration.
Nevermore so than in the age of YOLO.
Paul says, yes, you only live once. But this life I live is not my own, it is for Christ. And the reason he can say this and live it out is because to lose one’s life is not a tragedy if you trust in Christ. It is gain.
Is this how you see life and death?
If you trust in Jesus - you can.
Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
Pray: Praise the Father for His grace in the gift of life with Christ into eternity. Give thanks for Jesus who gives us eternal life that we would never perish. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others live for Christ in the hope of gain in eternity.
