Day 9 - 14 Days of Prayer

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

We are praying to see 250 people at Village Church by 2030 who grow, gather, give and go, in love and joy to the glory of God.

We live in a world condemned to stand before God and be judged for sin. It’s a sobering reality. Heaven and hell. God’s wrath at sin and His reward for faith and faithfulness.

And above all. A good God and merciful Saviour in Jesus Christ who deserves to be known.

But how will people find out about Him? How will they find salvation?
The truth is that they won’t come to us.
We need to go to them.

Which is hard! It might be easier to just form a monastery type community. But if we love people, we must go and be a part of their community. To help us with that, we need God.

For Today:

• Do you feel the weight of the reality of heaven and hell?
• Do you see that Jesus deserves to be known?
• Ask God to help Village Church go into our community with the gospel.

Pray:
Pray through Matthew 28:18-20. Pray for Village Church that we would proclaim the gospel faithfully in our community. Pray for God to draw unbelievers to us. Pray for people finding eternal life through Jesus at Village Church and other Churches in the Northern Suburbs.
