Day 11 - 14 Days of Prayer

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

We are praying to see 250 people at Village Church by 2030 who grow, gather, give and go, in love and joy to the glory of God.

As the passage suggests, today I want us to pray for love. Jesus summed up the commands of God into loving Him and loving the people around us.

But love isn’t easy. Loving God can be hard, not because He is hard to love but because our hearts and minds can be hard to Him. Loving those around us can be hard because we love ourselves too much or just don’t know how to love.

Thankfully, the God who is love is at work in us through the Spirit who can change our hearts and grow our love. Let’s pray that He would.

For Today:
  • Pray that God would help you to love Him.
  • Pray that God would help you to love people around you.
  • Pray for Village Church, that He would grow our love for each other.

Pray:
Heavenly Father,
In this moment of prayer, we approach Your throne,
Seeking Your grace and mercy to nurture love in our hearts.
Lord Jesus, You have shown us the epitome of love,
Laying down Your life for us on the cross.
Help us to grasp the depth of Your love and live it out.
Fill us, Holy Spirit, with a burning passion for God,
That we may seek You with all our hearts,
And love You above all else.
Enable us to extend that love to our neighbors,
As You commanded us to love one another.
May our words and deeds radiate Your love to a broken world.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
