Day 14 - 14 Days of Prayer

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’

Matthew 6:9-13

We are praying to see 250 people at Village Church by 2030 who grow, gather, give and go, in love and joy to the glory of God.

Let’s finish our 14 Days of Prayer with the prayer Jesus himself gave us. But of course, the Lord’s Prayer is not about a set of words more powerful than any other. This isn’t a spell or incantation.

It’s a scaffold, a helpful structure for our prayers. So today, use the Lord’s prayer to write your own prayer. To fuel your own prayers. What does it look like for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven? What debts do you need forgiven? What temptations are you facing?

Let’s pray.

For Today:
  • Pray through the Lord’s Prayer.
  • Reflect on the last 14 Days of Prayer, what has stood out to you?
  • Make a commitment to keep praying the Village prayer.

Pray:
Pray through the Lord’s Prayer.
Reflect and give thanks for the past 14 days.
