Exalted
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11
Jesus endured the greatest of humiliations. From eternal paradise in heaven to a criminal's death on a cross and the pain of the Father’s wrath at sin. There has never been a greater fall from grace.
But for His obedience. The name Jesus Christ is the name above every other name. He who was most humiliated is now the most exalted. For salvation is found in no one else because obedience was found in no one else. He is the champion. He is the greatest of all time.
Think about this. Is there a name today that can compete with Jesus? Caesar, Aristotle, Muhammud, Buddha. Their names have been made great. But none of them give salvation or the right to be called sons and daughters of God. None of them are necessary for redemption.
And none of those names will return in all their glory.
And so all that is left is for people to realise the truth. There is no subjectivity when it comes to Christ. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But there is a time lag in people seeing this.
And there is only a window of time given by the Father to acknowledge who Jesus is.
We will all stand before Christ. For some it will be tears of joy as they recognise the one who they trusted in. For others, it will be tears of shame as they confess that He is Lord too late.
Pray for those you know. Pray for our communities. Pray for our world. That they wouldn’t wait until it’s too late. Pray that they would bow the knee and acknowledge His lordship now that they would be saved.
For Today:
Pray:
Praise the Father that He is glorious and He has shown us the glory of the Son. Give thanks for Jesus who is highly exalted, who is the good King and Saviour. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to those who don’t know Him.

For Today:
- Do you see the glory of Jesus? Is He glorious to you?
- What does it look like for you to bend the knee to Him today?
- Who do you need to pray for?
Pray:
Praise the Father that He is glorious and He has shown us the glory of the Son. Give thanks for Jesus who is highly exalted, who is the good King and Saviour. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to those who don’t know Him.
