Memorisation Monday

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Ephesians 1:18-19.

Saving for a rainy day isn’t easy. There’s so many other things you could be doing with your resources. But when you need it - it’s great to know that you have something stored away. Memorisation does take time. But the rewards are great. A consistent and deep reminder of what we have in Christ, why we have it and who gave it to us.

Knowing Scripture means we can encourage ourselves and others. It means we can be confident in what the Bible actually says. So that when life raises questions, when friends or family raise questions - we have an answer straight from God’s truth.

Can I encourage you, take the time to memorise this passage. Put it in the bank. So that when you need it - it’s there.

Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
  • Say the passage out loud 10 times in a row.
  • Say it once before you go to sleep.
  • Say it once more when you wake up.

Pray:
Praise the Father that we can know the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Give thanks for Jesus who won our inheritance. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others know what we have in Christ.
