Ephesians Day 10
With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
Ephesians 1:9-10
Here is a statement worthy of some acceptance. If you don’t know what life is for - you won’t know what to do with it.
Imagine someone dropped a million dollars at your doorstep with no note, no explanation and no instructions. At first it’s exciting. But then it’s crippling. Is it mine to keep? Should I spend it? Is it illegal money? Should I hide it? Should I tell the police and give it back? You feeling the anxiety?
We have been given a wonderful gift - life. But unless the one who gave it to us reveals His will - then we have no idea what to do with our gift. And I think you see this right. People wandering around with this incredible gift. But not really sure what to do with it.
But of course, the same God who gave us the gift of life has also told us what He gave it for. He has made known the mystery of His will. It’s for all things to unified under Christ (as King). It’s for all creation to see and enjoy seeing how glorious God is and to live for His glory.
This is the meaning of life. And though we buck against it, we do best when we live according to purpose.
For Today:
Pray:
Praise the Father that He has given us the gift of life. Give thanks that in Christ we have a good King who is worthy of all things. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others give Jesus the glory He deserves.

For Today:
- Have you wrestled with the meaning of life?
- Do you see what you were made for?
- How could you glorify Christ as King today?
