Memorisation Monday

1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Ephesians 2:1-5

How are you going at memorisation?

If you've followed along in Ephesians. Here is the whole long section we have been doing. If it's your first time - just try one of the verses.

Keep persisting. God’s Word is like a seed. It grows in us and produces good fruit. God’s Word is like rain, it cleans and refreshes. God’s Word is like the sun, warming us up and bringing light in the darkness.

Have God’s Word at work in you today by memorising and reminding yourself of what He has said about His love for you, His mercy, the new life you have received and His grace toward you in Jesus Christ.

Keep going! If you haven’t started at all - any day is a great time to start.

Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
  • Say the passage out loud 10 times in a row.
  • Say it once before you go to sleep.
  • Say it once more when you wake up.

Pray:
Praise the Father that He shows grace to sinners. Give thanks for Jesus who brought us from death to life. Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others know the Scriptures and be encouraged by them.
