Memorisation Monday
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
1 Peter 3:15
Why should we talk to people about Jesus? Peter reminds us, even as our faith is internal, our faith is not practised in isolation or privately. To revere Christ as Lord is to be prepared to give a reason for the hope we have.
How do you go with that? Do struggle with the words to say? Do you find it hard to muster the courage?
Let’s memorise this passage and be reminded of why and how we engage people with the truth.
Questions/Thoughts/Tips:
Pray:
Praise the Father that He opens the eyes of the blind and gives new hearts to the hardened. Give thanks to Christ that He revealed the truth to you in His death, resurrection and Word. Ask God’s Holy Spirit to help you and others revere Him internally and externally, wisely engaging with others in what you believe.
