Psalm 145:9-13

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
so that all people may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendour of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
Psalm 145:9-13

We live in the age of branding and signalling. Companies and individuals pretending to be something they aren’t for the sake of praise. The truth is we all have a bit of this in us. We are like coal mines pretending to be green and expecting others to celebrate us. But as we know, it’s actions and not branding that speaks truly and loudest.

God’s works in Jesus, His mighty acts of redemption, His power and kindness. The splendour of His Kingdom of love, glory and joy. They tell of His glorious might. And so do we.

Rather than praise for pretence or façade, we praise the God who is who He says He is and shows who He truly is by His works. And we praise Him to others that they might know the glory of God and His goodness.

Pray:
  • Praise the Father for His mighty acts and for the splendour of His Kingdom.
  • Praise the Son for His faithfulness to His Father.
  • Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you praise Him to others.
