Psalm 145:14-16

The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
Psalm 145:14-16

There are 7.8 billion people in the world. Isn’t that crazy. And the vast majority (90%+) are fed and clothed sufficiently for a healthy life. So over 7 Billion people, fed and clothed. The other ten percent. Well, it’s not like we couldn’t produce enough food. Instead, it’s our sin that prevents us from all people enjoying more things.

It really is a testament to the kindness and provision of God. He has given us a world with soil and water, cycles and seeds that provide abundantly.

Then there’s the other stuff. Rivers to swim in, mountains to climb, technologies to explore, surf to… surf. God has opened His hand and the opportunities for satisfaction and delights are incredible.

What a God we have. What a gracious God. What a great God.

Pray:

• Praise God that He provides and satisfies.
• Give thanks for the provision and joys that you have experienced.
• Ask God to help you and others to trust in Him as the giver of all things.
