TGIF

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139:13-16

Human life. It’s pretty amazing when you think about it. That which begins with a single cell becomes a living, breathing, thinking, feeling, dreaming, beholding, loving, choosing, laughing and crying human being. It’s remarkable.

I encourage you to reflect on the joys of life. Not just ‘life’ but your life. On the moments that make you smile. On the loved ones who make you glad. This is the privilege of being alive. As we say, life is a gift. Psalm 139 reminds us of this. That we are made.

Life is God’s gift. Every joy in life, ordained by God in grace to you.

Sometimes, when life is hard. This can be difficult to see. But I encourage you to reflect today and give thanks for life itself. Acknowledging God in praise and thanksgiving that He is the one who made you.

For Today:
  • What do you find remarkable about life?
  • Take some time to reflect on the joys of life.
  • Give thanks and praise God for your life.

Pray:
  • Praise the Father, that He knew you and made you.
  • Give thanks for Christ that you were made through Him and for Him.
  • Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you see His goodness in your creation and life.
