Memorisation Monday
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
We started this passage last week. Let’s finish it off.
There’s a bunch of people in the media, in the country and in our community who are saying that Christianity is bad. That belief in God (at least the traditional Christian belief in God) is bad and that we who believe are bad.
Sometimes, we begin to believe what we read and hear. But is it true?
Is God’s will for the Christian life. Monogamy, modesty, a particular definition of love and so on. Is that bad? When we see God clearly in His mercy to us and as our minds are transformed by His Word, then we see that His will is actually good, pleasing and in fact perfect for us.

- Say it out loud 10 times
- Say it once at night before you go to sleep
Pray:
- Praise the Father for His good, pleasing and perfect will.
- Give thanks for Jesus Christ who frees us from slavery to sin so that we can live out the will of God.
- Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help our minds be transformed and to see His mercy more clearly.
