By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Have you ever walked into a house or an office and just known that there was a coldness there? That something was missing? That there was no love? What a tragedy if someone walked into a Church like that.

Village Church was planted in Bulli to see more people hear about Jesus and be drawn to His love. Because in Christ we have experienced true love and He has commissioned us to spread that love to others. And what will most visitors first experience of that love be? Us. In our ‘house’. Particularly on a Sunday.

How do we show the love we have? Here’s a few thoughts. Our setup. Why do we put up petitions and plants? It’s harder than just putting out a few chairs, but it shows love. Why do we have dinner after the gathering? Good food = love. Why do we work hard to welcome new people and get to know them? That’s what love looks like.

If we are going to grow the Kingdom in our community, then let’s show the love of the Kingdom on a Sunday.

For Today:

• Do you see a loving community at Village Church (or whatever Church you attend)?
• How could we make our Church a more loving environment?
• Do one thing this Sunday to show the love of Christ to others.

Pray:

• Praise the Father that He is love. 
• Give thanks for the love of Christ shown to sinners. 
• Ask God to help you and others create a loving environment on a Sunday.
