Memorisation Monday

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

Mark 1:17-18

The process of memorisation is a critical part of a process of change. Changing us to be our new self in Christ. We have been called to a new identity and a new purpose. Like the disciples, we are all charged with the growing of the kingdom of God. For some, that will mean literally leaving our nets. For others, it will mean fishing for people even as we continue in our various forms of vocation and employment.

Memorise this passage today to remind you of God’s call on both of us.

  • Write down the passage
  • Say it out loud 10 times
  • Say it once at night before you go to sleep

  • Praise the Father for His work in us, giving us a new identity and purpose in Christ.
  • Give thanks that you have been called into Christ’s kingdom and get to work for Him.
  • Ask God for His Spirit to help you and others fish for people as His faithful servants.
