Memorisation Monday

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Colossians 1:16

The book of Genesis isn’t the only place that talks about creation. Who created all things? Jesus. Who were all things created for? Jesus. Is there anything that Jesus didn’t create? No.

How important we remember this when things feel out of control. When things look dark. When things seem hopeless. It’s like Abraham Kuyper said, “there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’”

Let’s memorise and remember this powerful truth in Colossians 1.

Tips:
  • Write down the passage
  • Say it out loud 10 times
  • Say it once at night before you go to sleep

Pray:
  •  Praise the Father for His creation.
  • Give thanks for Jesus who is Lord of all things.
  • Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others memorise His Word.
