Memorisation Monday

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
    to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
    and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”

Revelation 4:11

Here’s an amazing scene. The throneroom of Heaven. Angelic beings and people surrounding the King, crying out in worship to Him. What an amazing sight. Better yet what an amazing sound. 

I’ve always loved the parade after a sporting team wins the grand final. It’s a celebration, it’s joyful, it’s special. But we join in an even greater celebration every time we gather as God’s body - the church. 

God has gifted us an imperfect yet beautiful picture of a far greater reality we will one day experience for eternity. And it will be all about Him - the one who created it all, who is glorious and worthy of all praise and honour and worship.

Let’s remember this by memorising today.

• Write down the passage
• Say it out loud 10 times
• Say it once at night before you go to sleep

Pray:

• Praise God for His glorious creation.
• Give thanks for Jesus who points us to the glory of God.
• Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others give Him the praise and glory He deserves.
