Memorisation Monday
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Why doesn’t God destroy humanity at the first sin? Why does He preserve Noah and His family? Why make promises to humanity and persevere with Israel? Why hasn’t Jesus returned yet?
Here we see God’s patience and mercy. He withholds His judgement on sin and this sinful world because of His desire to see more people come to repentance. Thank God He did.

- Praise the Father for His grace in remaining patience for the sake of His mercy.
- Give thanks for Jesus who bought our reprieve.
- Ask God for His Holy Spirit to bring those around you to repentance and faith in Jesus.
