Memorisation Monday
Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
Mark 9:35
There is a deep desire in me to be served. How good would it be? We look at the lives of the super-rich. We imagine they worry about nothing. People to cook, to clean, to provide for their every need.
But then I remember Jesus. The most powerful being beyond the universe. He didn’t come to serve but to be served. What a beautiful thing. He made Himself last, though He was first. Maybe that’s what I should do too.

- Say the passage out loud 10 times in a row.
- Say it once before you go to sleep.
- Say it once more when you wake up.
Pray:
- Praise the Father that He sent His Son to be our servant.
- Give thanks for Jesus who came not to serve but to be served and die for our sins.
- Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others be a servant.
