Memorisation Monday
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:45
It’s a critical verse in Mark’s gospel that sums up the kindness of Christ. It reminds us that Jesus came - not by accident but for a purpose. He was God who came from heaven to earth.
We were in a great debt, enslaved to our sins. But this God, though He could have by all rights brought justice to the world in power, chose instead to serve it by dying on the cross. He paid the ransom price for our sins which was death and made a way for us to be saved.
Isn’t that something worth memorising?

- Say it once before you go to sleep.
- Say it once more when you wake up.
Pray:
- Praise the Father that He is a kind and gracious Father who sent His Son for our sake.
- Give thanks for Jesus who paid the price for our sins, in our place.
- Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others trust in Jesus and enjoy the blessings of Christ.
