Advent - Day 25

6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
    there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this.

Isaiah 9:6-7

Merry Christmas everyone.

Whatever today may be for you. Sad or joyful. Busy or quiet. My prayer is that today would remind you of Jesus and what He means for us.

It’s all there in this classic passage. Christmas is the gift of God’s Son who will be our Lord and Savior. He is the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring peace on earth and to reign lovingly over a Kingdom that displays His goodness gloriously.

For those who long for righteousness, for those who long for peace, for those who long for joy that doesn’t end, Jesus is the answer to our deepest prayers.

Be reminded of Jesus today and all He means for you. Rejoice no matter what your circumstances because God has been good to us.

For Today:
  • Take 15 minutes to reflect on the goodness of God in Jesus.
  • Write down 5 reasons you are thankful for Jesus.
  • Have one conversation with someone about Jesus with a friend or family member.

Pray:
  • Praise the Father that we can know His goodness in Christ.
  • Give thanks for Jesus our Lord and Savior.
  • Ask God for His Holy Spirit to help you and others to be reminded of God’s goodness today.
