Living Grounded: Jesus legend, Paul in Acts 27, polygamy & walking with the Spirit
Oct 16, 2024
Questions:
1. We heard two Sundays ago that Jesus is either lunatic, liar or Lord. But I’ve heard there is another option - he is legend. Can we be certain Jesus really existed? Or could he be a fabrication of the gospel writers and the later church?
2. What’s is the logic in Paul’s mind when he says that ‘God marked out the appointed times [of civilisations in history] and the boundaries of their lands SO THAT… they might seek him and reach out to him and find him?
3. Was God ever okay with non-monogamy in the Old Testament (e.g King David and Solomon having multiple wives) and if so when did it change?
4. How do we actually ‘walk’ or be ‘led’ by the Spirit? (As discussed in Galatians 5:16-18)
