Living Grounded: Christian survivor guilt, Israel, God's Desires & Christian Self-Defense?
Questions:
1. We are blessed by God to an unprecedented degree, in that we happen live in this time and place in history where we have full access to God’s revealed truth through Scripture and His Son. How do we live without some sort of ‘survivors guilt’ knowing that this is a privilege which countless others in history had anything near what we have in this regard?
2. Why are Israelites the chosen ppl?
3. If everyone can become soft hearted, do all ppl have the capacity to become soft hearted, does God want to save everyone?
4. Just to look at another application of the God and family priority. What about a scenario where someone is trying to harm your family I was thinking physically so I’ll run with that in my example but I guess you could take it other ways too. So someone breaks into your house and is going to harm your kids or wife even murder them. As a Christian are we allowed to respond in like to stop them which could mean having to kill them? Not sure where you’ll land on this one. But further to this are we not only allowed to stop but obligated to as Christians?
